OUTREACH
We seek to meet community needs through our various outreach programs. With our partnership with the Adopt-A-Family program we have served over 50 families during Thanksgiving and Christmas.
Adopt-A-Family
During the Holiday Season the section donates Thanksgiving Baskets and Christmas gifts to adopted families received from Prince Georges County Social Services Office.
Christmas In April
During the month of April the section partners with social services and assist a disabled or elderly homeowner with items they had challenges accomplishing. Some services the section has provided are yard work, painting and cleaning. The section also donates over 200 snack bags for volunteers all over Prince Georges County the day of the event.
breast cancer awareness
Each October the section participates in the annual Tickle Me Pink Breast Cancer Awareness Breakfast where survivors are celebrated and the audience is educated on topics pertaining to breast cancer. The section serves as volunteers and participants to this event.
